All New Chat Sidebar For Facebook

This morning (India) when i logged in to Facebook.com i saw something strange at right side of the Facebook homepage. Its looks like another update from Facebook.com as after changing layout of Account Settings Page, Message Box and preview of any link in the commenting box. This time it is our Facebook Chat Toll (oh no... not again  man !) and I do feel surprised that it might be a new advanced featured of Facebook Chat Tool but.... here we go again...

A window displaying a message “A Faster Way To Message”.when i click on Try it now,it displayed many of my friends in this window and asking me to “You are unavailable to chat. Let friends see you as available?”.

This is actually new chat sidebar from Facebook which displays your friends whom you chat the most and provide an option to show your self online or offline,just click on available and you will appear online to your friends.When you are available you will see available friends with green small button indication their availability.(see screenshot below)

To change your online status just click on the settings button at the bottom and check or uncheck available to chat option.In addition you can disable the chat sound and can hide this big sidebar.

This sidebar is not useful due to several reasons:-

1. Takes the space of the page and decreases the width of the Facebook page.

2. No new thing or don’t provide any type of convenience,so why to make the page small with this sidebar.

3. Big downfall,to chat with your friends you have to enable this big sidebar.If you are using small width monitor then you will be frustrated with this sidebar.Might not affect users with widescreen monitors.

4. Video calling was recently introduced by Facebook and that doesn’t require this type of sidebar or widgets.

5. The friends this sidebar display not all of them are those whom you chat with the most.It detects automatically,which is not a good thing.

You might be missing the Old Facebook Chat Box Features, after using this New Sidebar Chat Tool, as those OLD but GOLD features are not provided in this Sidebar Facebook Chat Tool. As Like the following...
